Last-Minute Christmas Decorating Ideas

If you are looking for a few last-minute Christmas decorating ideas to put the finishing touches on your home for the season, then you are in the right place.

Sometimes, the small details make a difference in your decorating. Once you’ve put up your Christmas tree and your main decor, adding a few of these finishing touches will make the difference and create a festive atmosphere that will last throughout the rest of the season.

10 Ways To Cozy Up Your Home For Fall

1.

Add some live greens. Even if you’ve used faux garlands, trees, and florals, take the time to add live greens into your home. A few live greens or branches placed strategically on the top of a piece of furniture can really take your Christmas decor to the next level bringing in fragrance and a fresh look. I do this all the time with my garlands using a base of faux greens and then adding layers of live greens, and this allows me to easily replace wilted branches and keep the garland looking beautiful throughout the season without dismantling the entire garland.

Add rich color.

2.

A week or two before Christmas or right before any holiday parties I might be having, I like to add fresh flower arrangements. I always plan for the placement of these when setting up all of my decor at the beginning of the season. This allows me to easily place my arrangements without moving everything around right before the party. Just adding a few fresh flowers here and there with some live greens provides the perfect finishing touch for all of your decor.

3.

I love creating a festive feel throughout the entire home by appealing to all of the senses. Holiday fragrances disbursed with diffusers and candles can enhance the feeling around your home during the holidays. Candles can especially enhance not only the fragrance of your home but the mood in a room, and candles are a large part of my holiday decor. I love the mood that they can create in a space. Sparkling candle holders provide height and illumination and provide a focal point while the eye dances around the room, enjoying the decor.

Add rich color.

4.

If you’re running short on holiday decor and you want to add a little more ambiance to your room, drape some ribbon over an existing piece of art or run a strand of holiday lights through an existing silk plant. Use what you have and enhance it to make it a little more festive for the season.

5.

Fill your home with the people that you love. There is no better decoration for a home than to enhance it with the sound of laughter and the joy of celebrating the holiday season.

Until Next Time,
Gia
