When deciding where to place your Christmas tree, always decide on the placement tree before selecting your tree. This will help you to determine the correct tree size and fullness that you will be able to use in your location.
Choose a location where your tree will be easily visible when first entering the room, your tree will become an important design focal point for the season, place it in a room where you can enjoy it every time your walk into the space.
Remove any furniture pieces needed to make room for the christmas tree. Take a look at your room from the doorway, look at the varying height of your furniture pieces, place your tree in a location where the height balances out the varying furniture heights. Try not to break up a conversation area or seating arrangement. It is better to remove a table or two then to remove your main seating. To make all of this look proportioned, your furniture arrangement might need to be re-configured just a bit for the holidays.
Consider pets, small children, and traffic flow in your home, place the tree in a location where it will not be a hazard. Consider the pathways for bringing your tree indoors and make sure it is clear of obstacles and that your tree will make all the turns and corners to it’s destination. Place you tree in close proximity to electrical outlet for lighting. Be sure your outlets are in working order and can handle the electrical needed for your tree.
