Five Reasons That An Artificial Christmas Tree Can Be A Great Alternative To A Real Tree

Artificial Christmas trees have come a long way, especially in the last few years. There are so many realistic artificial Christmas Trees in different colors and varieties that you can easily find some great options.

People can be reluctant to give up using a real tree if that’s what they’ve always had, and as much as I love the smell and the tradition of having a real Christmas tree, there are many advantages to having an artificial Christmas tree.
Add rich color.

TIMING

When you have an artificial Christmas tree, you don’t need to worry about it drying out like a real one. So you can start putting up your Christmas tree much earlier than you would if you had a real tree. For someone like myself, that’s important because I start very early and I put up several trees. Something that would be very hard to do if I waited for that window needed to keep a real tree alive in the house.

MAINTENANCE

Having an artificial tree, you can eliminate the maintenance needed for a real tree. No more climbing under the tree to keep it watered. No more worrying about your dog or cat drinking the water out of the tree, and most importantly, no more pine needles and sap everywhere. This is a big advantage. A real tree is something that requires more maintenance.

STRONG BRANCHES

The most important reason for me to use a faux Christmas tree would be the strength of the branches. Many artificial Christmas trees have much stronger wire-based branches, which can accommodate larger and heavier ornaments. These branches can also be bent, allowing you a little more freedom in the placement of your ornaments.

Add rich color.

SHAPE

With an artificial Christmas tree, you have a perfectly shaped tree every year. As much as it is fun to search out the perfectly shaped real Christmas tree, there is something to be said for knowing that every year, you will have a perfectly shaped Christmas tree when you have an artificial tree. This will also guarantee that the tree will fit properly in the space that you’ve allotted for it. The size of the tree needed for your home can be easily misjudged when selecting a real tree.

EASE OF INSTALLATION

As someone who has installed Christmas trees professionally, I will tell you that it is much easier to install an artificial Christmas tree, especially if you are doing it alone. Storage could be an issue with an artificial tree because you do need to have a place to tuck away that artificial Christmas tree when you’re not using it. Another advantage is that when you’re ready to decorate for Christmas, it is very easy to pull out your artificial tree, fluff the branches, and install it with one person.

These are just a few advantages to using a faux Christmas tree. If you are concerned about missing that beautifully scented real pine Christmas tree in your home, do a beautiful real Christmas wreath or bring in some branches to decorate with, and that will bring in that beautifully scented pine aroma that you will miss with an artificial tree.

Happy decorating!

Until next time,

Gia
