We here in the North East have experienced a warmer than usual winter this year. So it was quite a change to gaze out my office window this afternoon onto a beautiful white snow covered landscape. It has reminded me of the beauty and elegance of a white on white color scheme. A peaceful relief for the eyes of someone who works all day with beautiful saturated color. This beautiful monochromatic look is fresh and simple. however not so easily achieved. Colors must be chosen carefully, with regards to undertones. Textures , patterns and finishes play a very important role in an all white color scheme. The balance of these elements combined with a harmonious mix of shades of white create a beautiful white oasis.
