4 Of My Favorite Holiday Tables
HOLIDAY TABLE ONE
I created this table for a holiday designer showhouse. This was in a beautiful, traditionally styled home, and I decorated all of the first-floor rooms for a Christmas holiday tour. In the dining room, I set the table for an imaginary Christmas dinner using a combination of green velvet and metallic gold fabrics and ribbon. I used a multitude of complementary greens, a harlequin patterned plate, and deep rich red accents to complement the adjoining living space. The centerpieces, which were made with red roses, lined the long table, creating a rhythm that moved the eye along the table, making the holiday table joyful. I included a few pieces of the homeowner’s antique china and gold crystal, which made this tablescape very special to the homeowner. I also included a variety of gold accent pieces and greenery, which added dimension to this lush tablescape.

This table is from the same holiday designer showhouse project. I used homemade custom candy canes and old-fashioned candy handmade from Priscilla’s Candy Shop (Located in Concord and Gardner, MA), to give this kitchen the feel of a dreamy sugar-coated Christmas. I am so grateful that Priscilla’s Candy Shop was happy to help me by customizing and providing candy in the colors I needed for the space. Since I decorated the rest of the kitchen in bright and happy, icy pastel colors, I continued this color scheme on the tablescape for this kitchen. The tablescape was bright and cheery, and I imagined it to be the perfect spot to enjoy a holiday brunch or breakfast on Christmas morning.
This is a table that I created in my own home. Every so often, I create a white table for Christmas dinner, and this year, everything that I included on this table was silvery and white. I included my antique silver flatware, flocked greens, and, of course, a lot of sparkle. White china is so easy to work with if you are new to creating a tablescape. It is a great element to purchase as you can use it to create many different looks. The rest of the dining room decor was also done in these tones, creating a serene and majestic atmosphere for this Christmas.
HOLIDAY TABLE FOUR
This table was created a few years ago in my former home, and it is still one of my favorites. I used blue, white, silver, and gold for this Christmas dinner table. A collection of my blue and white mix of china added pattern to the table. Then, I layered it with white, silver, and gold pieces to coordinate with that year’s room decor. I still use this color scheme often in my new home, as it works well with my overall decor.
