Finished Photo of my Designer Show House RoomI am very excited to be able to share some finished photos of my designer show house room.

After a few weeks of sharing some of the design elements involved in my design, now you can finally see how all of these design selections came together to create the finished space. The beautiful coastal view expands the room like a beautiful piece of artwork. Careful color and fabric selections seamlessly blend together creating a soothing environment. Custom furnishings, window treatments and upholstered items create a very comforting mix of patterns. I chose the cobalt blue leopard fabric as my starting point and the other fabrics all complement that selection. I chose this bold pattern to illustrate how a bold pattern, that might be scary at first, can be used to create instant drama in a room when used properly.

The beautiful original fireplace and woodwork are now highlighted with the proper finishing, and this small room now feels very spacious with properly scaled furnishings, and space planning. Windows now seem more symmetrical with the placement of custom window treatments which I designed to visually expand the space visually and highlight the view. Accessories add more properly scaled pattern, creating more visual interest, and a custom wool area rug grounds the room’s color scheme and furniture arrangement.

In the next few weeks I will share some more photos of the finished designer show house space.

The Coastal Haven Designer Show House will be open to tour until July 29th in Newburyport, MA.
